You drive back to your house and your hubby changes the tire into the temporary spare and you start searching via phone and internet (which by the way, the cell phone service is intermittent in these here mountains) for a store in Santa Fe which has a tire to replace the ruined one. Yes, we got insurance on the car and the cost of the tire replacement will be reimbursed to us when we return the car on Friday. If we want, we can go replace the car 50 miles away in Albuquerque, but no, we'll search for a place here and just get it replaced and reimbursed later...
Well, by noon thirty, we still had not found a store that had ONE tire to fit our "luxury" suv rental car!!!!!
So, we ate at a restaurant that we'd heard was good and called the rental car company. We would have to drive the 50 miles to get a new car.
We get our new "non-luxury" suv rental car - Jeep Liberty - and drive down the road to the Albuquerque Harley Dealership to get some new shirts.
The place is packed but we found some nice clothes. Got out of there and headed home again.
We got home at 5pm - oh, no problem, just 8ish hours since we left the first time...so the answer to the riddle is: A LOST SATURDAY!!!!
But we had good eats and got new clothes.
Now, let's see if we can just turn Cait's frown upside down and hope tomorrow is better.
Love,
Amanda

turn that frown upside down sounds like a primary song the kids at our church used to sing...
Cait is going to be an actress when she grows up. She'd be perfect.
