Urgent Prayer Request for My Friend, Lauren

Please pray for Lauren. She emailed me almost 3 hours ago and I just got her plea for help. I'm going to copy and paste her email here so that you can pray more specifically.

Please please please pray for me right now. The pain is worse than it's ever been and I can't move. It's so bad that I may throw up but have no way to get to the bathroom. Thank God Nati is sleeping right now or I'd be in big trouble.

I don't know how much longer I can do this.

I sure hope she and her Baby are okay.

Thank you,
Amanda

Monday Prayer Requests (Nov. 10, 2008)

Hope you all had a great Monday.

Today is the day that I'm updating the prayer request/praise list.

I hope you all will join me in remembering and praying for the following:

*Rich still needs our prayers as they will continue to monitor his condition every other day at the hospital and he will get daily blood thinner shots.

*We all need to pray for our children. Angie Smith has laid out a clear plan on her blog to do so. Check it out here.

*Tricia heard from Duke regarding her 10/29 biopsy today. She has an infection (along with her CF and lymphoma). Please pray that the meds help over the next 30 days. Pray that the meeting at Duke next week to discuss the next treatment plan goes well.

*Pray for Stacy and Spencer. Last Friday, November 7, was one month since their baby, Isaac, went to heaven.

*Please keep my friend Sara and her husband in your prayers. Next week will be very hard. Their son, Samuel, was born on November 19, 2007 and went to heaven to be with Jesus on November 24, 2007.

*Greg and Nicol's house did not sell last week. Please keep them in your prayers.

*Please pray for our nation, our new president-elect and our economy.

*Always remember those of us who have lost our babies. Some of my friends are having an especially hard time right now.

*Pray for Jen's first day at her new job (starts tomorrow). She is, of course, nervous. She lost her twin babies 3 months ago and is worried about how to answer the, "do you have any children?" question.

*Please pray for my friend Lauren. She is 15 weeks pregnant and she's having a lot of lower back pain. She called her doctor today and they recommend that she take Darvocet but she is worried about the effects it might have on her baby. She is going to see the doctor tomorrow. Please pray that she would feel good enough to get some rest tonight so that she can ask all her questions of the doctor tomorrow to determine what to do next.

*Please keep Jocelyn in your prayers. She lost her second baby on March 28, 2008 and her due date would have been November 12th.

*Because we are a family who loves our dog, I have to pass along this prayer request: Courtney's dog, Mercy, broke his back last week. Please pray that he will be healed and for his family (Courtney and her husband have 9 children!).

*Please keep Jessica in your prayers as she is working with her sister in law, Meagan, to start up a non-profit organization called "Treyson's Purpose." This organization is being formed in memory of Treyson, Jessica's son who went to heaven on June 8, 2008. This organization is being formed to provide support, resources, and alternatives to pregnant women that are considering having an abortion.

*Keep Kenzie and her family in your prayers as she is still in the hospital awaiting baby Faith Clare's birth.

*Please remember Jen as she continues to grieve the loss of her husband and her baby. She is thinking about changing her blog header and profile. I know this must be very difficult.

*Pray for my friend Debbi as she has CF, her husband started a new job recently (that he keeps threatening to quit) and her meds are so expensive that she is unable to take them everyday (although she really needs to take them everyday). Please pray that she will be comforted and her depression will lessen and please pray that her husband would persevere even if the job is not something he likes to do (so that he can support his family).

*Please keep Chase in your prayers. He is 3 1/2 and his ear tubes are bocked again. He has another double ear infection and will head to the ENT doctor tomorrow to discuss what can be done to help him.

**If I've forgotten anyone, please know that God has not forgotten you. May you feel the loving, protecting and healing arms of the Lord wrapping around you each day.

Praise Him!

*Rich came home from the hospital today!

*Stephanie is 18 weeks pregnant and is feeling great!

*Rooney is 20 weeks pregnant with her baby girl!

*Ava is doing and feeling better this week!

*Stellan is a healthy baby boy!!

Road Trip to PaPa's

Please pray for us this weekend as we make the drive 270 miles west to help host and attend PaPa's 80th birthday party.

It will be a good time with family but stressful due to all the driving and seeing my PaPa when he's not at his best. I will be the photographer and a server (and a mommy and a wife and a daughter and a granddaughter!). We'll also see my other grandpa and grandma while we're there.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers and sweet comments for PaPa's birthday. We really feel the love over all these miles :)

Love,
Amanda & Family

Monday Prayer Requests

I've been wanting to do this for a few weeks now and I think I'm going to try to post about prayer requests that are on my mind on Mondays. If you'd like to join me in prayer, please do so. If you'd like me to add your request to my list, please email me or leave a comment.

Since I have become a follower of so many blogs of late, I see that I'm not the only one struggling out there. Praying for everyone else's needs tends to take my mind off of my own - and that makes me feel better in the end. I know that prayer changes things. I've seen it first hand throughout my life.

Now that I'm actually typing this out, I feel like I don't have the words to convey what is on my heart. I guess all we need to do is lay everything at His feet and ask for help, peace, rest and discernment.

I know I won't capture everyone's request. This hurts. I wish I could pray for EVERYONE.

Please join me in prayer:

* Greg and family hope to sell their home very soon - there's an offer on the table.

* Tomorrow is Election Day. Please pray for our Nation's future. Please vote for LIFE.

* Kenzie is in the hospital with Baby Faith Clare. Please pray that the doctors are able to determine what the next step should be.

* Tricia had a biopsy on October 29. Please pray that the results are good when they come back this week.

* Baby Ava is having breathing trouble and her siblings Christian and Dakota are sick this week.

* Jen just celebrated her first birthday since her husband and baby died.

* Rich is in the hospital again (and will be for the next 8 days). Please also pray for his wife, Hilary, and 4 year old son, Isaac.

* Please keep Debbi in your prayers as she continues to struggle with CF.

* Please keep Lauren's grandmother in your prayers - she is in the hospital.

* Always remember those who have lost their babies. Some of my friends are having an especially hard time right now.

* My Pa-Pa is turning 80 years old on Thursday. He has Parkinson's and has had strokes. Please pray that this weekend's party continues as planned although he's not doing well.

* A good friend of mine is going through a separation from her husband. Please keep her in your prayers.

Praise Him

* Stellan was born healthy and is home already with his family!!

* Lauren is 14 weeks today!

* Rooney's Little Musings is 18 weeks and is having a girl!

Thank you.
Love,
Amanda

Lindsay's Birthday Party

Caitlin got her first invite to a birthday party of a classmate. Lindsay is 3 years old and is in Caitlin's class at Montessori. Apparently, the two are good friends and Cait really wanted to go to the party which was held at Monkey Bizness (a jumpy place).

Everyone had a great time! There were others from Caitlin's class there...Ethan, Thierry and Nyla.

Here are some of the action shots I got:

Stellan and MckMama are HOME!

Just wanted to Praise the Lord that Stellan and MckMama are home from the hospital and healthy!

MckMama is already taking beautiful pictures of her 4 kids!

Enjoy and join me in Rejoicing that a miracle was done in the MckFamily!!!

Halloween 2008

Our Caitlin turned out to be the scariest and prettiest witch ever! I know, scary and pretty are complete opposites, but in her case last night, she was both! :) LOL

Two funny Caitlin Cutisms from last night were:

"Those people left their candy on the porch...I guess they just don't want to talk to people!"

"Ya'll go on and go to the scary house. I'll stay back here."

Here's our little witch and a few other pics taken this morning.

Hope you all had a good October 31st.

Love,
Amanda

P.S. Cait has the best Daddy in the world! He helped me put on her make-up last night AFTER he put on her fake nails! What a helper!

I LOVE YOU, CHRIS
