Yesterday was chemo day #1 for our Sweet T!
It started at 8 am. They hooked her up thru her port and gave her an IV of fluids first. Her port is still really sore, but she took some pain meds so "it's all good."
After the IV, she started drug #1 of 4.
She has to go back today for an injection into her stomach that will stimulate her white blood cell marrow to replenish faster.
I asked her how she was doing at approx 11:30 yesterday and she said the she was tired and that they gave her Benadryl first and it "is wigging me out!" LOL
She is in a fighting mood! Ready to murder those monsters ASAP :)
I have attached 3 pics that she sent right before chemo started.
She found out yesterday that she will be having 5 more treatments instead of 3 more. That’s good though because that means that those monsters will be attacked and killed for even longer :)
Today she said that she is queasy but overall she’s ok :)
We are praying that this mega chemo does not make her as sick or run down as the doctor said it could. Please also pray that she is a "lucky" one who does not have hair loss immediately (or at all). And of course, we have to have faith that these treatments will rid her body of all cancer cells!
Thanks ya'll,
Amanda
