Caitlin Love Updates - February 21, 2006

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!

Since it's been a while since I updated the blog...I'll try to update you on words she's saying and things Caitlin has been up to lately.

As you can see from some pictures below, Caitlin spent the weekend (2/10-2/12) with MeMe and Grandpa while Chris and I went to San Antonio for my birthday. It was fun for us and it looks like Caitlin had a great time too! It was the first time for us to leave her behind and for her to spend the night somewhere else besides home. We missed her very much but enjoyed our time alone together too!

Cait's Vocab Update:
1) Asked Martha, "what doing?" (short for "what are you doing?")
2) Told Chris, "in there" about where I was in the front room.
3) Said "no way" and "oh baby!"
4) Said "yana" (short for manana = tomorrow in Spanish) when Martha was telling Caitlin goodbye and said "see you manana."
5) She makes a snoring sound to mimic sleeping
6) Said "robe" about my robe in the closet
7) Says "man" and "boy." It is very cute to see who she calls what!!
8) Caitlin says "me" and "mine" almost constantly!! If she's not saying that she's saying "huh??" after every question we ask her!!
9) She says "wait."
10) If she sees a birthday cake or balloons, she says "hahe" (short for happy birthday)
11) Sometimes she says "Hahe Joy Joy" - a saying that Chris has said for years about "Happy Happy Joy Joy."
12) She says "please" (her cute little version of it) more often now.
13) She says "bed" and "more night night" (especially when I wake her in the morning).
14) She says "ice" for ice cream.
15) She says "ring."
16) She has asked "why" on several occasions.
17) Can say "Big Mamma" and "Big Dadda" except she says "BID."
18) She says "bowl" and "num" (short for nummy or yummy) when we are eating.
19) She said "mio" (Spanish for mine) at Martha's.
20) She says "rain."
21) She says "juice, train and one."
22) She can recognize the letters M (says "Mommy"), I, (says "I") and J (says "Joy").
23) At Martha's on Monday she went through a book and repeated the words: Big and Small, Happy and Sad, Sun and Moon and Young and Old.

Wow! She is pretty smart! We are so proud of our little girl. Growing up so fast and yet is still our little baby! We love you Cait!!!!!!!
